L'Essentiel: Timeless watchmaking
And so begins the story of a project that began with a blank page outlining the contours of a watch, the first of its kind, called l'Essentiel.
A project coming to reality
Starting with a blank sheet of paper, I calculated and designed the movement and the trim of this first model, called l'Essentiel.
Having taken care to emphasize the fundamentals, the Essentiel is a watch with a classic, uncluttered style. Its 39 mm-diameter, 8 mm-thick case makes it a pleasure to wear every day.
The two-piece Grand Feu enamel dial reveals a small seconds at six o'clock. The finesse of the enamel decal, combined with that of the blue hands, provides a clear display of the time.
It's when you turn the watch over that the magic happens: a wide opening reveals a movement entirely hand-crafted. Having kept only the essentials, a certain sobriety allows the eye to wander and gradually appreciate the architectural and finishing details.
The mainplate, bridges and balance, down to the smallest screw, were made from raw material using hand tools such as lathes, milling machines and files. The construction of the movement follows the codes of fine Swiss watchmaking of the late 19th century. Large barrel, large balance wheel, interesting bridge shapes, escapement counter-pivot, delicate and meticulous decorations: every detail bears witness to the ancestral know-how that has been honored. In search of authenticity, l'Essentiel is a balanced fusion of tradition, innovation and timeless elegance.

My passion for fine watchmaking and the pleasure of creating inspired me to set myself a challenge:
Starting with a blank sheet of paper, I entirely calculated and designed the movement and its casing for this first model, which I named "Essentiel", enhancing its sober, technical side by including a touch of poetry.
The result is a watch with a classic, uncluttered style, whose 39 mm-diameter, 8 mm-thick case makes it a pleasure to wear every day. With a power reserve of two and a half days, it combines functionality and precision.
